Every pawn has his/her own character. And every pawn is on his/her legal place. Pawns are weak, but they have great potential inside!
Pawn is cheap, small piece which moves only forward and can promote to more strong piece as every pawn-like piece; pawn is divergent stepper. It is the cheapest piece, but plays an important role: all pieces are measured in pawns!
In ChBrTi, Chess Pawn is start free piece, which is available for all.

Pawn does long move forward without capture. If pawn meets a block or piece on the way, the motion stops. Pawn must stop before the last rank. It runs on:
- 1 level: 3 squares
- 2 level: 3 or 4 squares
- 3 level: 3, 4 or 5 squares
Warning: if pawn has got this Ability, this pawn cannot use its double step.
