Pair with another player to rock opponents' team! One from you will play by 4 pawn-like pieces, and other player - by 1 substantive. The last one of an opponent's team is your aim.

It’s team game mode. There are differentiation of roles, help and two different move orders. It’s available for beginners with pawn-like pieces and for middle and pro players with substantive pieces, where they are together by one aim.

Game order:[]

Lobby:[]
  • Player (only player with at least 1 substantive piece can do it) creates a game, in its settings player chooses start position (will be shown lower), move order (will be written lower), time control (2:0, 2:1, 3:0, 3:2, 4:0, 4:2, 5:0, 5:3, 6:0 or 7:0; as in 2-players modes, but moving time relates to a whole team) and summary price limit to team's pieces (11-13).
  • Or player can join the game created by other player. Then host is waiting for reaching 4 players joined (current number is showing during it).
  • Player can create a team with another player before going to lobby, or team is auto-generating in game start when player is without a team.

  • Side of each team is random.
  • Default setups are above (first is regular, second is angular)
  • Pawn-likes’ owner can place not-pawns instead of pawns, so he/she gets extra 20 seconds to do this.
  • Pawn-like owners with Supers (super abilities) on chosen pieces get extra 20 seconds to give Supers to certain pieces.
  • Each team decides who will move first, it's important in usual order because it will repeat till the end of a game.
  • Players (only these 2 who move first) get extra time in seconds (number depends on time control) to make first move.
Playing:[]
  • There are two move orders: casual (voting inside a team who'll move now) and usual (first are players who are accepted to move first in their teams, next are two other players, and this order repeats many times).
  • Pawn-like pieces can make double step from 2 (white) and 7 (black) ranks.
  • Substantive pieces cannot move to the square where they already were (except for capturing). This rule resets when 2 pawn-like pieces are captured, or 1 pawn-like piece is promoted.
  • Pawn-like pieces promote on 8 (white) and 1 (black) ranks. They promote to substantive pieces which are unlocked by their owner; if he/she hasn’t any unlocked substantive piece, he promotes his/her pawn-like piece to that one which is used by his teammate, and he gives it to him automatically.
Object of the game:[]

Team wins if:

  • their opponent's substantive player hasn't any pieces on the board;
  • opponents have spent all their moving time.

Draw occurs if:

  • white team removes all black substantive pieces from the board, and black team does same immediately after whites' move;
  • 64 moves without any progress (capture or promotion).
Notes:[]

Later (or in the start of ChBrTi) every Duel's host creator can turn on/off an option of reincarnation (when game doesn't end when all team's substantive piece(s) are captured but pawn-like player promotes his piece to substantive immediately after this).
